I have a Facebook profile and I’m happy that I chose to create one for myself. Life everything else in life, social networking sites also have their own limitations. It totally depends on how you decide to use this medium. For instance, I have the option to reject friend requests from people I don’t know or those who I know but don’t wish to stay in touch. I got to meet my school friends and a few of my childhood friends as well through facebook and I was absolutely delighted to see and talk to them. Also, you can be specific about sharing your life details in form of updates to those in your friend list. It like to keep my private life private because those who are very close to me already know about what is going on in my personal life 🙂 So, in my view, you should have a facebook profile and use it sensibly to remain in contact with friend and far away family…all the time.

My profile isn’t complete yet, but I believe in the importance of having an informative profile. It is really great how facebook connects me with my high school batch mates. Though, it wasn’t important to me when I was young. Being connected with people I knew can be very rewarding.

There is no harm in having one so long as you are sensible, plus, these big companies are forming tie in relationships, so to sign up for one company you are going to have to join another, like Facebook – this is the next big thing, so whether people like it or not,social networking and Facebook Profiles are here to stay :o)

It has so many settings now you don’t need to give up on your privacy.

And unlike Google+ you do not have to use your real full name if it really bothers you. I think this is one reason to stay with Facebook!
