In reply to <a href="https://prisqua.com/unlimited-limited-o2/#comments/1054">O2</a>.

Dear @o2, you are still not getting it! It is not about the plan or your fine lines... it is about what you are calling "unlimited" which is limited therefore it is false advertising. Everybody knows what unlimited means, I'm sure even a child would know! And your text does not say to read the fine lines. When I got it for the very first time, I truly thought it was some kind of bonus as a new customer. As far as I know in Australia I have never been told I had unlimited Internet on my iPhone if it was limited to whatever cap I chose to. And the same with @ATT when I was in the USA, they did not use the word unlimited to sell me an iPhone plan, they were very specific about it.

So at the end of the day @o2, you can write pages and pages of fine lines: unlimited is not limited!!!

Hi Prisqua

Thanks for taking the time to write a post about your recent experience with O2. We’re sorry that it’s left you a little disappointed.

Using your screen shot of the text we sent you, I’m going to assume that you’re on our Pay & Go Text & Web tariff. Based on this assumption, you were correctly informed at the point of sale – you’ll get 300 free UK texts and 500MB of data per month, providing you top up £10.

The text message you received was also right, though. ‘Internet’ on a mobile isn’t limited exclusively to cellular access – with the Text & Web tariff, you also get unlimited Wi-Fi access via our Wi-Fi partners, BT Openzone and The Cloud (see http://o2.co.uk/hotspot for more info and hotspot locations).

We’re pleased that the tariffs and allowances were made clear to you when you signed up with O2, and would also highlight that they’re outlined clearly on our website (See http://bit.ly/j1xIUx) – however we’re disappointed that this wasn’t clarified by the customer service adviser when you called us to query things further.

We hope you’ll find the information in our reply helpful, and that it’ll help you to benefit more from the allowances available with your Pay & Go tariff. You’re welcome to tweet us @O2 if you need anything clarifying further :)

It is indeed totally mad that they sell doublespeak. Not only that but the regulators; Ofcom were obviously 'paid off' as there is no regulation on the blatant lies these corps spew out, and the spurious unlimited limited offers continue..

May I suggest you tell O2 in no uncertain terms that if they charge you for internet usage, you will take them to court for deception and fraud.

Peace
